Purpose of the position
As Product Development Officer, you support the product team with the development, implementation and follow-up of products and services that contribute to the product strategy and development roadmap for the different customer touchpoints both on the ground and in the air. You contribute from ideation to commercialization and in the lifecycle management ensuring an effective, competitive and cost-conscious participation to the customer experience.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Product Development
Support the product development team in the conceptualization, design and implementation of new products and services. Analyze data and processes and coordinate with relevant stakeholders (e.g. Ground Operations, Flight Operations, Maintenance & Engineering, Marketing) ensuring a complete 360-degree view in the development of business cases and during the product design phase, as well as in preparation for implementation.
Benchmark & Innovation
Contribute to the product development strategy and roadmap by continuously looking at industry developments (& other industries), benchmark competitors’ products and analyze market research. Evaluate ideas for new products, product improvements and services to meet customer needs and propose best in class products.
Product Delivery and Customer Experience
Translate product specifications into (technical) requirements, analyze and optimize the processes to deliver the (new) products and define specific quality standards in agreement with operational departments. Ensure that products will be supported by the adapted proper service on the ground or in the cabin, at each moment of the travel experience, in order to result in a great customer experience.
Monitor live product performance in cooperation with Operations and Customer Experience Quality to timely identify shortcomings and propose potential new initiatives to ensure we continue to meet our set quality standards.
Product Communication & Promotion
Develop communication, promotion and training material for new products and services in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders. Ensure operational staff understand the value and benefits of the product, as well as feeling comfortable in the use or execution of the concerned product/service. Work together with communications, marketing and sales teams on the promotion of our product and highlight new developments.
