Purpose of the position

The Aircraft Cabin Technician is part of a team that delivers high quality cabin maintenance work within the EASA part 145 and BA approved scope and guidelines.

 

Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • The Aircraft Cabin Technician will quickly learn cabin maintenance activities and develop at least 2 of the following specialties:
    • cabin line maintenance, epoxy and ‘tedlar’ works
    • repair of aircraft seats
    • aircraft cabin removal/installation (e.g. sidewall panels, floor panels, bins, seats, ceilings, toilets, galley’s, linings)
    • painting of cabin and aircraft parts according to the manufacturer’s specs sheets
  • Assists in base maintenance and line maintenance to avoid cabin related discrepancies in accordance with the manufacturer approved maintenance data
  • Assists in cabin shop activities to ensure a clean and perfect cabin for our guests. This entails working on parts such as sidewall panels, floor panels, bins, seats, ceilings, toilets, galley’s, linings, etc.
  • Shares responsibility for the administration in accordance with the Brussels Airlines scope and EASA 145 rules
  • Ensures that level of the cabin shop meets the EASA 145 requirements by guarding cleanliness, tools, equipment and stock

Mission

The Cabin & Aircraft Appearance Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that Brussels Airlines' aircraft interiors and exteriors meet the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetic excellence. In this role, you will:

  • Ensure that aircraft interiors (cabin maintenance and appearance) and exteriors (cleaning and paint) align with operational goals, regulatory requirements, and passenger expectations.
  • Proactively identify and address defects to maintain aircraft reliability, compliance, and service quality.
  • Manage resources, inventory, and supplier relationships to ensure timely and effective cabin maintenance and aircraft appearance interventions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including the Engineering department, operational teams, and Lufthansa Group partners, to drive continuous improvement and innovation in aircraft appearance and cabin maintenance.
  • Lead and develop a team of approximately 30–40 FTEs, fostering a people-centered culture of accountability, excellence, and safety.

This role requires a dynamic, hands-on leader with strong operational expertise and a passion for delivering a superior passenger experience.

Tasks

Operational Leadership & Compliance

  • Lead and develop the Cabin & Aircraft Appearance team, ensuring efficient defect rectifications and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the Cabin & Aircraft Appearance Maintenance Program, ensuring timely repairs, proactive upkeep, and quality control.
  • Conduct inspections, implement structured action plans, and oversee cabin modifications, aircraft painting, and cleaning activities.
  • Organize training sessions to maintain high technical and operational standards.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Align with Engineering & Maintenance Planning to coordinate priorities and optimize scheduling.
  • Lead a steering committee with Engineering to manage initiatives from Product & Marketing, ensuring strategic alignment.
  • Work closely with Flight Operations, Inflight Services, and Customer Experience to address passenger and crew feedback.

Continuous Improvement & Performance Monitoring

  • Drive process improvements to enhance cabin maintenance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and improve the passenger experience.
  • Analyze and manage KPIs related to cabin condition, NPS, IFE performance, and cleanliness standards.

Resource & Cost Management

  • Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resources while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure proper stock levels in coordination with Supply Chain & Procurement.
  • Oversee subcontractors and MRO facilities, ensuring compliance with SLAs, quality control, and efficient workload distribution.

Your profile

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years in cabin appearance management or a similar aviation-related role.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Strong knowledge of EASA Part 145, Part M, and Aircraft Continuing Airworthiness Management.
  • Leadership & Organization: Proven ability to lead teams, set priorities, and manage operations efficiently.
  • Technical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical mindset with expertise in process optimization and lean methodologies.

Purpose of the position

 

Within the Brussels Airlines Maintenance team, you will disassemble, service and assemble aircraft components covered by the Brussels Airlines component shop capability and replace parts if necessary.  All maintenance is performed within stringent norms of tolerance and precision, according to established procedures and using the approved and calibrated tools and equipment.

Preventive and curative maintenance on ground support equipment in compliance with the equipment manufacturer specification. Providing assistance to production by handling non-aircraft related tasks, such as towing, engine preparation before installation or shipping, and other non-aircraft operational.

 

 

Your tasks

Aircraft component maintenance: 

  • Ensure that the safety and quality standards as set by the company are obtained
  • Executes disassembly, assembly and overhaul works on component related items according to a Component Capability List following the technical documentation of the component manufacturer
  • Administer a compliant set of reporting (shop visit reports) and follow up measures. Administer inventory and stock of spare-parts in the component shop and order in time additional items

 

Ground support equipment maintenance: 

  • Executes disassembly, servicing and assembly works on ground support equipment following the technical documentation of the equipment manufacturer
  • Assisting in tooling management
  • Any other duty as may be required by the production manager for the safe and punctual departure of the fleet

 

Assistance for non-aircraft related tasks: 

  • Assist production in general non-aircraft related tasks.
  • Perform Aircraft towing related to Aircraft Maintenance.
  • Assist in engine preparation before engine installation or shipping.

 

Your profile

  • Technical Secondary Education level A2 Electric, Electromechanics, Mechanic or equivalent by experience.
  • Experience in aircraft or component maintenance is an asset.
  • Technical knowledge and experience with A/C structures and components not required but is an asset.
  • Mastery of technical English.
  • Ability to approach a situation or problem in a structured, methodological and logical way.
  • Knowledgeable in the essential functions of MS Office products (word, excel) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AMOS is a plus.
  • Team player.

As part of the Maintenance & Engineering department at Brussels Airlines, the Inventory Manager reports to the Head of Commercial and Supply Chain. In this key role, you will strategically manage and optimize the airline’s technical spare parts inventory to support operational, financial, and safety goals.

You will define and implement stocking policies, align inventory with fleet needs, and address obsolete or excess items. By monitoring performance metrics and ensuring regulatory compliance, you’ll provide valuable insights to senior management. This role requires a detail-oriented, analytical professional with strong inventory management expertise. The position is deputized by the Manager Warehouse & Ops Procurement.

Tasks

Inventory Management and Analysis

  • Define and implement stocking policies aligned with financial, operational, efficiency, and safety targets
  • Analyze inventory metrics (e.g. turnover, lead times, service levels) to improve performance and optimize stock
  • Set stocking criteria to ensure material availability tailored to fleet characteristics
  • Conduct reprovisioning analysis of serialized components based on reliability and performance

Aircraft Transition and Obsolescence Management

Collaboration and Training

  • Ensure alignment with CAMO, AOC, and Part 145 entities

  • Provide training and support in inventory best practices
  • Organize workshops to enhance cross-functional understanding and collaboration
  • Support strategic procurement by aligning stock levels with operational needs

Performance Monitoring and Compliance

  • Define and analyze KPIs to assess inventory effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with CAME, MOE, and Part-145/CAMO regulations
  • Report regularly on inventory value, performance, and improvement opportunities
  • Continuously improve inventory processes in our internal software (ProX) to boost efficiency and productivity

Your profile

  • University degree (Bachelor’s) in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory planning within a medium or large company, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industry
  • Proven experience in calculation models, statistics and supply chain principles, including purchasing, logistics and the application of stock steering parameters to optimize inventory levels and performance
  • Strong analytical and solution-oriented mindset with proficiency in handling large datasets confidently and reliably
  • Ability to assertively present information and communicate as well as collaborate in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and standards related to inventory management and familiarity with the aircraft component market, particularly the used material market

Key responsibilities include:

As a Manpower Planner, your role involves efficiently organizing technical staff schedules to meet project timelines.

Tasks

  • Perform the scheduling of technical staff in accordance with applicable agreements such as labor law and collective labor agreements (CLA), and planned workloads.
  • Follow up on and plan training courses based on factors like technician levels, regulatory requirements (PART 145), supply, and workload.
  • Manage leaves, absenteeism, and related statistics.
  • Plan and manage extra resources, including contractors, internships, and job students, in cooperation with production planning, and maintain records of their performance.
  • Keep the technical staff database up to date.
  • Maintain an overview of actual working hours versus budgeted hours and the scheduled workload.

  • Provide on-site support at MRO facilities as needed
  • Perform additional tasks to meet operational requirements

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in material coordination or inventory management, preferably in aviation
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, including purchasing and logistics
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience handling large data sets

Powerplant Engineer

Mission

  • Within the engineering department, you will be active as a powerplant engineer in a variety of CAMO activities together with your colleagues.

  • Analyse findings or maintenance inspections and advise preventive actions to improve engine and APU reliability, your solutions will reduce the base maintenance cost and production manhours by avoiding repetitive findings.

Purpose of the position

Tasks

Mission

As part of the Maintenance & Engineering department at Brussels Airlines, the Strategic Purchaser Components reports to the Head of Commercial and Supply Chain and plays a key role in developing and executing sourcing strategies for aircraft components. The role focuses on securing high-quality suppliers, optimizing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiency through strategic negotiations and contract management. This position supports operational needs and long-term business objectives and will be deputized by the Head of Commercial and Supply Chain.

Tasks

Contract and Supplier Management

  • Managing plan to strategy, advanced procurement and source-to-contract process for aircraft components, C&E material and APUs
  • Conducting strategic sourcing to identify and evaluate potential suppliers for component maintenance and pool contracts, wheels & brakes, ARC, APU, and C&E contracts, managing tenders and supplier evaluations to ensure optimal selection based on total cost of ownership
  • Managing the procurement process for assigned categories, incl. strategic negotiations, contract implementation and ongoing supplier performance management to drive value and efficiency
  • Ensuring the continuous improvement of the supplier performance management and contract management processes and tools
  • Building and maintaining strategic sourcing networks and developing strong supplier partnerships, both independently and in close collaboration with the LHG

Procurement and Compliance

  • Translating the vision and business strategy for assigned material categories into the sourcing strategy, ensuring implementation with a focus on generating added value through strategic procurement levers
  • Analyzing the supplier market for new opportunities to increase availability and quality while lowering costs and execute procurement activities in line with regulations and LHG policies
  • Creating and maintaining contract and procurement data in relevant Brussels Airlines Procurement Tools, ensuring adherence to data and quality standards specified in CAME, MOE and Part-145 / Part M

Financial Planning and Budgeting

  • Supporting the development of the annual budget for assigned material categories, including monthly cost monitoring, forecasting and follow-up
  • Create and follow up clear Key Performance Indicators to steer the procurement process
  • Identifying and implementing cost-saving strategies to optimize procurement efficiency and reduce expenses
  • Ensuring all procurement activities align with budgetary constraints and financial goals

Interface and Coordination

  • Aligning strategy requirements from key stakeholders for optimal implementation and compliance, while cooperating on LHG-level to identify synergies and saving
  • Represent Brussels Airlines within the corresponding LHG entities (f.e. commercial stream within Technical Fleet Management) to align on strategy and participate in group tenders
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders, including operational procurement, inventory management, and business analysts, to assess supplier performance, align on contract details, and ensure ongoing collaboration with CAMO and Part 145 teams

Your profile         

  • University degree (Bachelor’s) in Engineering and/or Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional and management experience in the field of Procurement / Supply Chain field with in-depth knowledge of negotiations, legal requirements and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) concept as well as the relevant tools and methods
  • Extensive knowledge of the aviation industry, with a deep understanding of aircraft components, contract structures, turnaround times (TAT), repair cycles, supply chain dynamics and EASA regulations
  • Project management experience with a proven ability to lead initiatives effectively and manage multiple priorities under pressure

Purpose of the position

Follow-up & coordination on technical troubleshooting requirements in the daily operation of the Brussels Airlines fleet whilst taking ownership of non-standard troubleshooting or complex technical irregularities. The Trouble Shooter, reports to the CAMO MCC Manager (functional) & to the P145 Planning Manager (disciplinary)

Your responsibilities

  • Performs trouble shooting services in accordance with the MOE, CAME, Pro X, OEM data & in compliance to NAA & EASA regulations.
  • Ensures communication links between the P145 Operation Manager, MCC Manager, Maintenance Controller (MCC), Engineering, Planning, Training & Maintenance Engineers.
  • Performs ad-hoc and in-depth troubleshooting with a systematic approach (eg. ad-hoc shop visit report screening).
  • Provides technical assistance to flight crew and maintenance staff.
  • Coordinates all received information regarding technical problems in the daily operation.
  • Monitors A/C Systems using specific tools (eg. Aviatar, FDM data, ECTM, Labo results), post flight reports & open workorders, to discover negative trends, recurrency or AOG risks.

  • Create, follow-up & solve troubleshooting cases for individual aircraft and repetitive problems, as required.
  • Support the engineering department with field experience.
  • Follow-up of ‘Electronic Pending Shelf’.
  • Brief/debrief line maintenance engineers & mechanics concerning technical problems and actions therefor.
  • Monitors troubleshooting actions performed by maintenance.
  • Recommends and/or supports improvements in close cooperation with Engineering.
  • Takes over troubleshooting ownership in case of non-standard or complex technical irregularities.
  • Records new or complex problems with a final resume (Technical Case Manager).
  • Reports deficiencies or developing fleet wide problems to Engineering.
  • Reports deficiencies in the daily operation to the MCC Manager & Maintenance Controller.
  • Reports organisational, training & development deficiencies within the Troubleshooting department to the P145 Planning Manager.

Your profile

  • Bachelor degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering OR equivalent relevant experience in aircraft maintenance (EASA Part 66 License)
  • Minimum 5 years of B1/B2 (OR equivalent relevant) experience
