Compliance Manager (Ground Operations)

Purpose of the position
The Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining information compliance controls for multiple internal compliance policies (ISO27001 ISMS, GDPR, PCI-DSS, …). The goal is to ensure that the organization, processes and assets are managed in accordance with the Brussels Airlines Compliance Policy as well as international standards, and to maintain compliance risks as low as possible. The manager also supports different business units in defining, implementing and maintaining a compliant organization with regards to the abovementioned policies.
The IT and Ground Operations (GOPS) Compliance Manager have complementary processes to manage in respectively the IT area and the GOPS area. They work closely together and are jointly responsible for the compliance level of Brussels Airlines. They report into IT and GOPS and are each other back up.
Main tasks & responsibilities
As a Compliance Manager you will be responsible for the compliance on ISMS (ISO27001), PCI-DSS, internal procurement policies and GDPR in your respective area (IT or GOPS). Your activities will be as followed:
Support and advise internal stakeholders
Support and guide third party suppliers, handlers and contractors
Development and maintenance of compliance standards
Audits
Reporting

As a Crew Controller, your role is crucial in managing changing crew compositions and ensuring efficient flight operations. By effectively managing published rosters, and proactively addressing disruptions, you play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and a positive crew experience.
Main tasks and responsibilities
1. Thorough Operational Control Centre Briefing:
• Provide a comprehensive briefing to the Operational Control Centre, highlighting ongoing crew issues, roster changes, or critical information.
• Highlight any potential challenges and proposed solutions to maintain operational efficiency.
2. Intermediary for Smooth Information Flow:
• Act as the intermediary between crews, flights, and all relevant departments to ensure a smooth flow of information regarding requests, swaps, sickness, technical problems, delays, extra flights, etc.
• Facilitate effective communication channels to address issues promptly.
3. Professional Roster Communication:
• Contact crew members professionally, conveying roster changes in a concise and objective manner.
4. Proactive Operation Monitoring:
• Proactively monitor the operation while minimizing the impact on crew roster.
• Ensure that all changes in the flight schedule or crew composition are addressed promptly, considering flight safety and cost efficiency.
• Implement solutions that maintain continuity in flight operations.
5. Hotel and Crew Transport Adaptation:
• Responsibly adapt hotel reservations when required, considering additional crew or technicians.
• Coordinate changes in crew transport arrangements, ensuring timely adjustments based on operational needs.
Profile
Mandatory Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience.
• Languages: Proficient in English, French, and Dutch.
• Technical Skills: Experienced in using daily Microsoft Office tools.
Desired Skills and Qualities:
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex schedules and foresee potential issues.
• Decision-Making: Make informed decisions to optimize crew resources and handle disruptions efficiently.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to coordinate with various departments and communicate changes to the crew effectively.
• Stress Management: Ability to handle the pressures of real-time coordination and disruption management.
• Flexibility: Able and willing to work in shifts and during weekends in the dynamic nature of the aviation industry and changing operational requirements.
Nice to Have:
• Crew Management System Experience:
• Familiarity with the usage of Crew Management Systems.
• Regulatory Knowledge:
• Good knowledge of EASA ORO FTL .

For the Brussels Airlines lounges at Brussels Airport we are looking for a Lounge Host to reinforce the team. As a Lounge Host you focus on delivering an exceptional guest experience and always look for opportunities to pro-actively respond to the needs of our guests. You will guard over the strict lounge access policy and manage the space assuring it remains meticulous.
Working as a Lounge Host you will execute various roles of Lounge Host, Maître de Lounge and Lexus Brand Ambassador (Brussels Airlines has opened a brand new lounge in partnership with Lexus).
