Purpose of the position
As a Crew Controller, your role is crucial in managing changing crew compositions and ensuring efficient flight operations. By effectively managing published rosters, and proactively addressing disruptions, you play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and a positive crew experience.
Main tasks and responsibilities
1. Thorough Operational Control Centre Briefing:
• Provide a comprehensive briefing to the Operational Control Centre, highlighting ongoing crew issues, roster changes, or critical information.
• Highlight any potential challenges and proposed solutions to maintain operational efficiency.
2. Intermediary for Smooth Information Flow:
• Act as the intermediary between crews, flights, and all relevant departments to ensure a smooth flow of information regarding requests, swaps, sickness, technical problems, delays, extra flights, etc.
• Facilitate effective communication channels to address issues promptly.
3. Professional Roster Communication:
• Contact crew members professionally, conveying roster changes in a concise and objective manner.
4. Proactive Operation Monitoring:
• Proactively monitor the operation while minimizing the impact on crew roster.
• Ensure that all changes in the flight schedule or crew composition are addressed promptly, considering flight safety and cost efficiency.
• Implement solutions that maintain continuity in flight operations.
5. Hotel and Crew Transport Adaptation:
• Responsibly adapt hotel reservations when required, considering additional crew or technicians.
• Coordinate changes in crew transport arrangements, ensuring timely adjustments based on operational needs.
Profile
Mandatory Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience.
• Languages: Proficient in English, French, and Dutch.
• Technical Skills: Experienced in using daily Microsoft Office tools.

Mission
As the Crew Control Team Leader, reporting to Head of IOCC, you will be responsible for the safe, secure, economic, punctual and customer-orientated planning, execution and continuous assessment of service delivery at Crew Control. You will ensures day-to-day crew tracking, steering and support are in accordance at all times with current rules and regulations, collective labour agreements, and any operational directives. You will adapt general processes to line procedures and ensures process loyalty in the line organization. The Crew Control Team Leader coordinates the work of a team of Crew Control Officers, including operations, training, continuous improvement etc.

We are looking for First Officers (type-rated and non type-rated) to join our company. Who are we and what do we aim for?
Brussels Airlines is the home carrier of Belgium and one of the four network airlines of the Lufthansa Group. You will be responsible for all iOCC activities of Brussels. Will seek opportunities for continuous improvement of all OCC processes in support of flight operations. Leads the OCC teams and provides inspiration and drive to provide the highest possible standards of network management, flight dispatch, and day to day flight and cabin crew utilization.
OCC: to provide safe, secure and compliant execution of flights for Brussels Airlines, with efficiency and punctuality. Ensure compliance with all Operations Manuals policies, internal procedures, labour agreements and local laws.
Ensure the coordination between operational departments in case of irregularity operations to limit its impact on the operation and the customer experience with safety as the primary concern.
Department Leadership
You will be responsible to give clear guidelines to the staff. You will make sure all employees are following the procedures and the checklists put at their disposal and support in full the objectives set for the OCC and Training Support Department. Ensures that all employees are trained according to OM-D.
Permanently monitor the staffing levels of the OCC team. Ensure that the budget objectives are respected and anticipate the replacement in case of turn-over, and long-term absences in cooperation with HR.
Establishes the duty rosters and holiday schedule to protect continuity and makes annual evaluations according to the procedures defined by the Human Resources Department
Follow up Performance Monitoring
You are responsible for punctuality and regularity follow-up within the company. Will report the reasons, the actions taken to reduce the negative impact and follow up all coordination issues between operational departments and make sure that the root causes are being tackled with process adaptations.
Develops new key performance indicators that are useful for the optimal management of the operation and adjusts them regularly.
Budget responsibility
Is responsible for the on time delivery of Budget figures for his department in collaboration with controlling. You will follow up the monthly evolution versus the budget and will inform the Director of Flight Operations in case of expected deviation.
Working procedure
Observes and ensure optimal coordination between OCC, HCC, GCC, MOCC, Flight Planning, Crew Watch and the Flight and Cabin Crew. Acts as focal for relationship with external service suppliers to ensure SLA compliance.
Based on operational data the Head of OCC seeks to actively implement process optimization, appropriate analytics to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Measures the efficiency of the Ops Control Department by establishing Key Performance indicators and makes recommendations for optimization.
Flight support
Provides the following support with regards to the execution of flights specifically at the level of; Navigation; Notams; Analysis of Airport; Flight Documentation; Flight Planning; ATC Slots; Mission support for the follow up of aircraft in flight
Coordination with external stakeholders
Is the liaison with relevant external entities such as wetlessors, brokers, Skeyes, Eurocontrol, Brussels Airport Company, Outstations and the relevant regulatory authorities.

Purpose of Position
The Performance and Efficiency Manager reports directly to and supports the Flight operations Technical & Procedures manager to ensure performant and efficient operations of Brussels Airlines.
He/she is responsible to develop and expand the sustainability strategy, in coordination with the CDM team, as well as the implementation of the strategy. He/she is also responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvements with regards to operational performance, efficiency and sustainability in the different areas of flight operations. He/she works in close collaboration with the Policies & Documentation Manager, IOCC, dispatch, training and various other external stakeholders to define and achieve the targets.
He/she will be embedded into the sustainability framework of Brussels Airlines and will have a close collaboration with the Lufthansa Group, their sustainability managers and framework.
To achieve the development of the sustainability strategy as well as its implementation, the Performance and Efficiency Manager is directly supported by the Performance and Efficiency Support Officer and the sustainability pilots (to be defined).
The Performance and Efficiency Manager is as such responsible for the following key result areas:
1.Sustainability, Operational Efficiency development and Environmental protection of the flight operations:
a. Proposes, initiates and follows up on actions concerning sustainability such as fuel efficiency, climate protection, active noise abatement, energy and resource management.
b. Initiates, manages, follows-up and provides guidance on fuel efficiency projects.
c. Improves flight efficiency by closely collaborating with ATM.
d. Develops and implements an environmental strategy, focusing on FLOPS but having as a consequence its effects in all areas– from operative activities and technical maintenance to procurement, facility management and administration (e.g. engine washes, descent patterns, weight on board, sustainable taxiing, Cost Index, etc.).
e. In collaboration with Crew Training, develops and implements training programs with focus on sustainability in flight ops (e.g. flight patterns).
f. Is fully aligned with the sustainability targets of the entire company.
g. Looks for continuous expansion of the environmental management.
h. Is involved in the latest technologies and innovations to continuously improves the sustainability of our operations.
i. Develops and aligns flight operation standards and processes on sustainability with the LHG.
j. Develops and maintains Key Performance Indicators which match current operational needs, and which the Brussels Airlines Management Board and the Flight Operations department can use to help improve the performance in environmental protection on a continuous basis.
2. Fuel, emissions and aircraft performance tracking and reporting:
a. Optimizes, analyses and executes cost efficiency, control verification, tracking and approvals related to fuel. (e.g. Tankering policy new regulation, …)
b. EU ETS CO2 data Monitoring plan - data collection & emission reporting. Edits, adapts & submits the EU ETS monitoring plan with all concerned authorities.
c. Monitors, calculates and reports the evolution of individual aircraft idle and performance factors.
d. Has the responsibility to follow up and apply regulations demanded by the Refuel EU framework.
3. Communicates clearly, transparently and efficiently to the flight crew community on all performance and operations efficiency related matters. Ensures close cooperation with Crew Training that all flight crews are aware of and correctly apply the relevant and applicable flight procedures. Ensures that the particular need of the flight crew community is captured (e.g. FCR, Crew Room presence, …) and used appropriately to drive improvements.
4. To ensure proper application of any sustainability, performance and operational efficiency topics and projects, collaborates closely with:
a. The Regulations, Policies & Documentation Manager and his team.
b. The Fleet Chiefs and their department.
c. The Operational Support and Digitization department.
d. The Training department.
e. The concerned Lufthansa Group AO departments and LHG counterparts.
f. External forums and partners, e.g. Skeyes, Eurocontrol, BAC, CEM, FABEC, etc.

1.Compliance: ensure compliance and investigate financial impact of upcoming regulations as EU fuel.
2.Communication: clear and active communication with internal and external stakeholders (Skyes, BAC,..).
3.Analysing data: analyse data out of several sustainability projects and define action points for continuous improvements.

Your Profile
• Preferable an engineering degree (Master) and/or pilot license, as well as at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar context.
• Operational knowledge on pilot procedures including fuel efficiency.
• In depth knowledge on Brussels Airlines operational documentation.
• Knowledge on EASA Air Ops regulation.
• Knowledge on ReFuelEU.
• Computer knowledge: Word, Teams, Excell, PowerPoint.
