Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an EFB administrator who will be a key factor in the management of the EFB system within the company. The EFB administrator is the person in charge of the EFB system and will be the final responsible ensuring on time & correct operational compliance and functionality of the EFB system by maintaining the regulatory, industrial and company requirements up to standards to guarantee safety, continuity & optimal daily operations.

Key Result Area 1: EFB Administrator
- Ensures that the EFB hardware and software applications are configured conform the applicable requirements and specifications and that their output complies with regulations.
- Manages the different EFB applications, together with the respective EFB application managers. (W&B, charts, performance, eFM, etc…).
- Ensures that no unauthorized software is installed and that miscellaneous software applications do not adversely affect the EFB operations.
- Is responsible for controlling all quality and operational processes under the responsibility of Flight Operations to ensure the operational usability of the EFB system.
- Revises and maintains the EFB Policy and Procedures Manual containing all relevant processes related to EFB ops.
- Is the primary link between the operator and the software suppliers.
- Enhances the ongoing development of EFB systems together with our IT Service delivery manager, the LH EFB teams and the different co-users.
- Is the SPOC with the LH EFB teams and attends the necessary project & development meetings, EFB CAB, etc.
- Works closely together with the EFB support officer regarding daily EFB operations and user assistance. (Hardware status, troubleshooting of daily operational issues …)
- Manages the weekly content updates with related communications, tests, validations, production release & administration.
- Manages and communicates with the EFB application test/validation group for newly released content and software in the EFB environment.
- Submits applications for approvals related to use and change of the EFB system and ensures the demonstration of compliance to the aviation authorities.
Key Result Area 2: Documentation
- Collaboration in the Flight ops documentation XML editing.
- Overall support in the Flight operations documentation team.
Key Result Area 3: Performance/W&B
- Administrates the different Flysmart applications and admin tools for performance and W&B calculations.
- Keeps processes and working procedures up to date guaranteeing data integrity for safe calculations by the cockpit crew. (Take-off, landing, Weight & Balance, In-Flight performance).
- Assists the FOSDM in different EFB related areas, such as Weight & Balance calculations, performance data, …

Your profile

- Degree in IT, engineering, Operations, ... or similar by work experience
- Experience preferably in an operational or IT environment
- Good overall knowledge & understanding of WIN/iOS systems
- General knowledge of IT systems & Software processes, as well as MS Office applications
- Knowledge of XML editing is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities & good project and process management skills
- Highly analytical and problem solving skills; organized and disciplined with a structured approach
- Stress resistant
- Active Communicator
- Be a team player, flexible, adaptable, versatile, enthusiastic, positive and confident
- Fluent in English, Dutch and French speaking is an advantage
